What do you do when you own the perfect chair, but it’s not covered in the perfect fabric? Make sure your supervisor approves the job first.
Rrrrrriiiiiippppp the chair apart but take care to remember how to put it back together….
Dig out every last one of those blasted staples …
Don’t quit in the middle or you won’t remember how to put it back together!
After two days, some extra muscle and some relatively minor skirmishes, I finally have the perfect chair covered in the perfect fabric! Now, if I just had a matching ottoman….

Beautiful!!! I’ve made slipcovers, but never really upholstered a full chair. I’ve done cushion type chairs, though; so think I’m ready to try something more challenging. Thanks for the inspiration. Sally
the chair looks wonderful…..love the color of it and I love anything with a check…..Is that daughter’s photo hanging above it??
Awesome job with this chair, Ellen! Thank you so much for stopping by Paper Pie, it always astonishes me how small the world really is. We do have so much in common, I love baseball and jeopardy too! I used to watch the Tigers all the time when I was a kid, the Alan Trammel & Lou Whitaker years. I am excited to check out your blog and see all of your home dec projects. I love doing projects around the house and I’m always eager to learn something new. And, yes, I am truly in love with Spoonflower!
Best to you!
Liz
Mmm, love that big check. It looks fab with your wall color.
I wonder, is there anything you ‘can’t’ do?
You are a talented lady and I am so amazed!
What a great job you did! Even matching the stripes on the skirt! May I ask what your wall color is, I really like it!
